Licensee shares success with customers

Friday, 27 July, 2012 - Modified on Friday, 27 July, 2012 at 11:54 am

In celebration of the re-opening of the Admiral Rodney in Dean Street, Brewood licensee Alan Jordan has organised a great promotion to welcome customers back to the pub.

The pub re-opened on Sunday 8th July and in just over two weeks Alan’s hard work was recognised by Punch Taverns with the award of ‘best turned around pub in the Region’. The prize to Alan was a free holiday but rather than take a trip to the sun he has come up with a novel idea to give something back to customers and welcome them back to the Admiral Rodney. Alan takes up the story – ‘Having just arrived at the pub, the last thing I had on my mind was a holiday. So, I asked if I could use the money to buy beer at a reduced cost and pass this saving onto the customers. The brewery were fine with this, so starting this weekend and running for the next month or so we’ll be offering all draught beers at £2.50 per pint’

Already you can enjoy regular karaoke on Friday nights and live entertainment on Saturdays. Indeed, this Saturday, 28th July, you can enjoy solo singer Yvonne Leslie performing hits from the 50’s to the 90’s.

They will also cater for weddings, christenings and funerals, just get in touch with Alan on 01902 851271 for more information.

For those unfamiliar with the Admiral Rodney, the pub also boasts a fine beer garden – perfect for those forthcoming hazy summer evenings! A warm welcome is extended to all, including children,
