A medium sized General Hospital with a busy accident and emergency department. Hospital also has a Maternity unit, Critical Care unit, large X-Ray department, outpatients area and a paediatrics service which caters for children from birth to 19, including a paediatrics assessment unit. Cannock Chase Hospital houses a centre of excellence for Musculoskeletal services including a regional Rheumatology department and a dedicated day case and short stay Orthopaedic unit. A day case surgery unit with a dedicated Endoscopy theatre is on site. There is an accute elderly care ward, one Rheumatology ward and inpatient Neurology and rehabilitation services. The hospital has a minor injuries unit which is open from 8am to midnight and 77 inpatient beds.
