Formed in 2011, Village Times is based in the community it serves. We aim to provide up to date news and information about Brewood, Coven and Bishops Wood. We aim to provide a platform for Villagers to interact and share information be it through our news page, photo gallery or local information page. There's the opportunity for businesses to advertise and provide updates on what's on offer in our great community. We want to hear from all the groups that exist in the Parish on what they're up to and maybe invite others to get involved and make the most of everything our beautiful villages have to offer.
We offer a unique and dynamic advertising solution to local business. Banner and Display advertisers can benefit from being able to submit as many news articles for publication on the site as they wish. This means that they maintain a presence on our pages but also have the ability to react instantly to developments in their business. Not only do these stories appear on our site but a headline and link to each article is automatically posted to our Facebook and Twitter sites giving potentially huge coverage to each post.
Village Times is also the place to keep upto date with everything that's going on in the community and we actively encourage all groups and clubs to submit information to us for publication. In short, Village Times is your site for your community!
I'm Jason and I run Village Times with a little help from my wife Debra. I've lived actually in Brewood since 2000 but in the general area since 1982.
All of my working life has been spent in local media, indeed 24 years of it working in the Regional Newspaper industry. In that time I managed to experience virtually all areas of the industry from Marketing, Circulation and Advertising to Editorial, Distribution and Production.
Late in 2011 I decided to try and develop an online presence to serve our community as comprehensively as possible, effectively an online newspaper for the parish, and so Village Times was born.
The site went live for real at the turn of 2012, my aim being to provide a resource to cater for all aspects of daily Parish life. I'd love to hear your comments and suggestions. Feel free to drop me a line to email@example.com.
